When I did manage-bde X: -status, it said that it couldn't be opened by bitlocker maybe because the volume doesn't exist or because it is not a valid bitlocker volume. I encrypted the drive with bitlocker a few years ago, but I think I got rid of it rather than just disabling it. When I ran check disk it, it didn't work because it said it was write-protected.
Upon further investigation and trying different things, I kept seeing errors that seemed to be with read and write errors. I then tried clearing CMOS and turning off fast boot in the bios, but that didn't work either, and everything appears normal in the bios. I tried restoring to a restore point, but I couldn't click next and then tried it through command prompt and it came back with an error. I tried restarting and that didn't work, and I'm now in a restore loop. It then went into automatic repair and wouldn't fix the issue. My windows 10 desktop froze and after some time of waiting, I did a hard shutdown.
